This battle of the big boys starts out with a bit of trickery at the start. SLH steps out of the ring, claiming to be unprepared to start the match, but quickly takes advantage of Kingpin by choking him with the tag ropes and delivering some big blows across his opponent’s chest. Hoping to take a big advantage early, the Heel drags Kingpin into the corner and starts in with a series of pec chops and yet more chokes with the tag rope as well as boots, knees, and fists to the gut. In furious fashion, the big heel keeps his opponent on the ground with a series of stomps, chokes, and boots, leaving fellow big man Kingpin reeling on the canvas. A vicious rope choke accompanied with a boot to the groin brings even more punishment to the Vertex rookie. As he nears his finish, however, Kingpin takes his only opportunity to retaliate, sending a fury of fists to SLH’s head that bring the heel down to the mat. With his only chance at hand, Kingpin goes to work on St Louis Heel, using many of the same techniques that had been used on him earlier in the match. Lots of shoulders to the gut are delivered, and Kingpin shows off his penchant for using high kicks as he thoroughly works over SLH. He continues to bring down punishment on his former tormentor by sitting on the big man’s chest and then performing some chokes and stomps of his own. With two of Vertex’s roughest competitors in the ring, it’s hard to tell how this one is going to turn out, but it’s a great slugfest for all to enjoy!
